Homeless Assistance

Get the help you need 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year

Are you about to be homeless or currently living without shelter?

Tehama County residents can now call 211 or text their zip code to 898-211 to immediately complete a homeless risk assessment and be placed on a system wide list for housing and services.

Your Life.
Your Choice.

Tehama County residents who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless are encouraged to call a 211 Tehama specialist for assessment and entry into the county wide Coordinated Entry System.

The United Way of Northern California, 211 Tehama, Empower Tehama, and the Tehama County Continuum of Care, have partnered to implement an expanded and enhanced Coordinated Entry System in Tehama County.

TCCoC’s Coordinated Entry is a communication and shared data system used by many of the organizations that serve individuals and families that are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless in Tehama County. Participating in the CES makes it easier for program staff to connect participants with the most appropriate housing resources for their specific situation.

(PLEASE NOTE: Referral into the system does not guarantee placement in a Housing Program – but it does place that person or family on the list to be contacted if and when they are matched to a program)

Service Providers, whether part of the TCCoC or not, can refer individuals and families into the Coordinated Entry System.
