General Fire Information

  • This fire started in Butte County, it made its way in Tehama, Shasta and Plumas Counties.
     
  • Some Lassen National Forest lands, roads, and trails remain temporarily closed
    for the safety of the public and firefighters during the repair phase of the fire. Prior to recreating on
    your public lands, view Forest Order No. 06-24-07 and the map here: fs.usda.gov/alerts/lassen/alertsnotices.

    • Those whose homes have sustained 50% or more damage from the Park fire can apply for a $500 gift card.
      • Proof of address and Identifications is required. Damaged home must be your primary residence. This assistance is 1 per household.

    • Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honeybees, and Farm-Raised Fish Program (ELAP)
      • Examples are; “Acres burned to cover supplemental feed costs, Hay stored that was burned, Movement of livestock to an alternate location.”
    • Livestock Indemnity Program (LIP)
      • Examples are; “Covers cattle mortality due to wildfire, Losses have been above ‘normal’, Will need to have deceased animals 3rd party verified (e.g. UC Cooperative Extension, FSA, Ag Commissioner.)”
    • Emergency Conservation Program (ECP)
      • Examples are; “Replacement of interior/exterior fences, Repair water infrastructure and troughs, Remove burned barns or fencing etc.”

  • Medical assistance:
    • If your medicine, medical supplies, or equipment were lost or damaged in the wildfires, please call your pharmacy or medical supply provider. Let them know you need an early refill or replacement due to the wildfires.
    • If your pharmacy is closed due to a wildfire, you can call the Medi-Cal Rx Call Center at (800) 977-2273, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for help with pharmacy services. TTY users can call 711, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    • This fund is providing $10,000 relief grants to eligible local restaurants affected by state- or federally-declared natural disasters, including the Park Fire. The grants can be used to cover operating costs like rent or mortgage repayments, food and beverage inventory, utilities, supplies and materials, and supplier costs.
