Substitute teachers needed for Shasta County schools

Do you have a Bachelor’s Degree? Are you looking for a new career or a more flexible schedule while making a difference for students? Substitute teaching might be a perfect fit for you. The Basic Skills Requirement has been waived through July 1, 2024.

Substitute teachers have the flexibility to work when they want, and the hours are convenient for parents whose own children are in school. It’s also a good opportunity to test out a new career.

Once you complete the requirements with the Shasta County Office of Education, you will have clearance to work at any of the county’s 24 school districts.
