May is Mental Health Month, and Tehama County Health Services Agency, Behavioral Health, is celebrating with online and virtual events. They invite everyone to join in!
They are kicking it off by joining with NAMI @ RBHS to dress up for Mental Health Spirit Week:
- May 3-28: Celebrate the benefits of drumming. Enjoy some fun lessons and learn about other cultures. Drumming Flyer.
- Video available May 3 and after: Interview with a fighter; “Road to Recovery” with insights on recovering from mental illness and substance use. Interview Flyer.
- Video: Interviews with 2 Peer Advocates sharing their journeys and tips for staying healthy. Speak Our Mind Flyer.
- May 26: Critically acclaimed comedienne and mental health advocate, Victoria Maxwell, joining us all the way from Canada via Zoom to share her brilliant one woman show, ‘That’s Just Crazy Talk.’ The show is free, for people of all ages, and it’s a wonderful way to get the conversation rolling about issues people face around mental health. Victoria Flyer.
