- In California, masks are no longer required for unvaccinated individuals as of March 1, 2022. They are still strongly recommended for all people in most indoor settings, especially in areas with high transmission. After March 11, 2022, the universal masking requirement for K-12 school and childcare settings will also end. Masks are still required for everyone in high-transmission settings like public transit, emergency shelters, healthcare, correctional facilities, homeless shelters and long-term care facilities.

- Free At-Home COVID-19 Test Kits: Every home in the U.S. is eligible to order free at-home COVID-19 tests. The tests are completely free. Orders will usually ship in 7-12 days. Visit website to request tests at www.covidtests.gov/ or call 800-232-0233.

- Eligibility:
- Every Californian 5 years or older is now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine.
- Currently, only the Pfizer vaccine is approved for minors ages 12-17. A lower dose of the Pfizer vaccine is now authorized for kids aged 5 to 11.
- Booster shots: Booster shots are available for adults ages 18+ who have had Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. The Pfizer booster is also available for youth ages 12 and up.
- Second booster shots: For those who got their first booster shot at least 4 months ago, the CDC now recommends a second booster shot for:
- People over 50
- Those who are immune-compromised
- Those who got the Johnson & Johnson vaccine

- For those who have difficulty accessing available COVID-19 vaccination options: Request an in-home vaccination appointment by visiting myturn.ca.gov. Select the “Find an Appointment” button and respond “yes” to the question about needing help with transportation or an in-home appointment. You will receive a call from a state representative within a few days to determine your eligibility.
- Digital COVID-19 Vaccine Record (DCVR): A tool is available for Californians who received a COVID-19 vaccination and wish to access their record from the state’s immunization registry systems. Go to: myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov. Housing:
- Modoc Siskiyou Community Action Agency – Rental Assistance Program: Provides rent payment assistance to residents of Siskiyou and Modoc County who have lost their jobs or income due to COVID-19. Qualified households can receive up to three months or $2,000 in rental assistance (whichever is lower). Your current household income must be less than the listed guidelines and you may be asked to document your pre-COVID income levels as well. - Karuk Tribe Housing Authority: Provides an Emergency Rental Assistance Program for the payment of rents and utilities, including past due amounts, to eligible households who are experiencing financial hardships due to Covid-19. Visit website: www.karuk.us/index.php/departments/housing-authority
- Mortgage Relief Program: Open to all eligible Californians who are currently experiencing pandemic-related hardships and have fallen behind on their housing payments. Complete the application questionnaire to begin the application process.
