  • 211 NorCal is committed to helping those in our community impacted by the federal government shutdown. Furloughed federal employees and government contractors in need of social services and individuals with questions about availability of public benefits can call 211 to get help.
  • 211 NorCal refers individuals to many programs that are funded by the federal government. If you have been impacted by the shutdown and are experiencing an impact to the services you rely on, call 211 to speak to a Call Agent. The team at 211 NorCal will work to identify other community resources that may be able to help you during the shutdown.
  • Our 211 NorCal Call Agents can help those in need connect to food pantries, health care services and utility and eviction prevention assistance. Callers also can receive information on mental health counseling, transportation, job training, substance use recovery services, childcare and volunteer opportunities

DoorDash Emergency Food Support:

  • DoorDash is helping food banks deliver free meals and waiving delivery/service fees for 300,000 grocery orders for SNAP recipients. Ask your local food bank if they offer home delivery. If not, they can contact projectdash@doordash.com to learn about partnering with DoorDash.
