The Tehama County Public Health Advisory Board (PHAB) is recruiting community members to serve a three-year term on the Board.
Public Health is a division of the Tehama County Health Services Agency. The purpose of the Public Health Advisory Board is to act as an advisory board to the Tehama County Board of Supervisors, the Health Services Agency Executive Director, Public Health Director and the Health Officer on public health issues, programs, services and emergency preparedness affecting the health and safety of the community.
One of the primary roles of PHAB is to assist Public Health in prioritizing community health needs and assessing the adequacy and availability of health care services and programs throughout the County. Current areas of interest include access to quality dental care, safe sex education for youth and smoke-free environments.
The Public Health Advisory Board meets monthly, on the first Thursday of each month from 1:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. in Red Bluff at 1860 Walnut Street, Building D, in the Shasta Room. All meetings are open to the public.
